Spent Friday being fairly lazy- got offically signed up for fairy mound. Desided at the last second that i would hunt the treasures of beltaine. Laura and i did and chanting class after that and ran into town at somepoint. I spent a couple hours in the evening being generally bad company as i realized about 3o'clock that Matt was not goting to be coming out*pouts*
The 1st chanlenge was Air - You had to solve the puzzle(s): one was to make words out of a phrase, one you had to find the hidden pictures, and [i didn't do it] i don't know. The clue(s) W-H-O. The Answer: Maven. Tha chanting workshop was kinda neet i love singing - i'm just not really sure of my self. After a quick snack...
The second chalenge Fire - You had to perform. We had thought that we(laura and I) would sing and dance. However our chalenge to the stage was stopped by PSA begging tht they only had a limited time before they __HAD__ do something else. It turned out to be a good thing - Groups were not allowed it seemed and the reason that they needed hurry was Anthony was D R U N K. I don't know how he got that was but he was the reson they neede dto hurry as he was about to be sick or die -i'm still not sure which. So we desided that perhaps I should go for the "chest" where the Misstress of the games would pick something for me(the Mistress was faimily) so i was hoping she would be easy on me. She was well i think she ment to be, i had to sing a song with the word bell init. Now sitting here typing i can think of about 100 songs with the word bell in them - how ever christmas songs came to mind and "ding dong merrily on high" came to mind it had bells in it - i couldn't rember the words all the way thought it (and why could i think of jingle bells) any way i won that. Earlier in the day Laura and i had picked up a very nice gentle man who was kind enough to win the "wit" prize. And Laura won the "perform what you wish in any way I choose" award, but singing "santiago" to a pole and dancing about it. Richard and Aline cameout and it was very good to see them both.
Dinner Happened (THANK YOU LAURA)and then i checked in on my messages. anna needed a ride into festiavl so after argueing my way out of the gate. I got a message that she would get a ride out tomorrow..... piss on that - i put gas in the car and drove back in got all dressed out for revel fire and headed over only to realize that the thing was f*ing unstable. Richard had worked on the fire and the engery was GREAT. I was requested to get my sorry ass off the ring because they didn't want me to end up with a log ontop of me. Resonable but not really needed - the wood was kinda rotting so it made it spark also they used kerosene to light the damn thing so it was ___HOT___ almost too hot. one side of the fire was white/blue hot finally a director came by to ask Clan "why it was excatly we haden't knocked over the dangous log yet?" so we told him no one wanted it knocked down - he pushed the crowd back and we knocked it into the ring there where surprisingly few sparks. and the night went on - i danced but not with the same freedom i experianced on Thur's day night's revel - i think it was becuse the drumming seemed forced and i felt like i should be physically working the more - i was finally convenced that i should just dance - so i did - i found a dance partner we dance together on opposite ends of the fire. I spent some of the later hours with Family (richard, aline, mary and alexandria) in camp ohana(ohana means "family" family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten). Wnet to bed hoping to grab some of Laura's bankets only to find that she had company *pouts* It was warmer than the night before but it was still F*ing cold - apperently i was crying in my sleep - i woke people up! I found this strange because i the last Beltaine i woke everone up in camp screaming. i was alone and my feelings had been hurt both times i was also freezing, i wish i knew what brought it all on, i guess later on i can look back into it.
I got up Saturday morning, ate breakfast and went to fairy mound - I LOVE WORKING AT FAIRY MOUND - kids are great - i don't want any right now but i love playing with other people's kiddos. They loved that bouncy dragon that is out there if left alone they would play in there all weekend. After that i was headed to the may pole and anna cought up with me so we walked up and told her mom that i would get herback to Austin on Sunday. We went and danced the may pole with Sam and some other folks whom i hadn't seem in awhile, Lyon was there. Mo mat and his lady where crowned the may King and Queen. After a breif pause at camp i headed out to meet the Master of the Lands for he wished to test my speed and skill. I set off after the bell and jumped a bit short of the mark but it was a good try(it was twice my hight) Laura did not get a stone and Anna did not get all the arrows though
