so  they finally got back to me ................... my ANA test came back not good (attempting to find out how not good as i type)  so they have sent me the name of a rheumatoligist and i have wait till October to see them

this could be good or bad from what i find on line it seems this  is a referal for lupus and more testing .... the good thing about the lupus  is that  my mom and her mom test a little on the positive side for lupus  so it may again be nothing and we keep testing or we just treat with stupid amounts of sleep

does any one out there with auto immune things know how bad  an  ANA ratio of 1:320 is ?

That is the "level positive" number, meaning it's at that point it is a positive. You may be "just a bit positive" which isn't like being a little bit pregnant but more like "well, we see it but it isn't that big".

There's other things besides Lupus that pops a positive. And there are false positives. You also have Valna and Lynn who know a lot about Lupus and can help you with questions. I had false positives in my 20's and I still get a low positive at times but I have autoammune thyroid problems (Hashimoto's) and I have a bad case of Fibromyalgia with Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome with a low human growth hormone level. I have to sleep a lot too. And stress doesn't help at all.

If you truly have Lupus, sun is the worst for you. It will make you very sick, weak, and it won't take much time to do so. You will possibly have the "butterfly rash" on your face, especially when you are tired or when you have been out in the sun. Also, you will hurt from sun exposure.

I have a wonderful Rheumatologist here in Houston. I know it's a drive but she's wonderful if you need a second opinion. Rheumatologists are hard to get into because there are so little of them so the October date doesn't surprise me.

If you need to talk or just blow off about the frustrations, let me know. Feel free to call anytime.

it could be Fibro ..... but i hate not knowing and i know there just are not that many Rheumatologist out there so yes it does take a bit to get but - i want to know now! i'm tired of being tired with out having a reason in my mid 20's this just stupid *steam pours out of ears* been doing some reading ..... still ends up with more symptoms falling under the lupus type catagory .... do not want lupus

i've been doing some reading and i really would like this to not be lupus

I totally agree with the not wanting it. I had the Lupus diagnosis for almost 15 years, took two years of steroids (hence my weight problem, even now) and the rages were horrible.

Autoimmune disease is really hard to pin down and make sense of. Even the October date it may be not pinned down (sadly). Remember (and it's become a mantra for me): Medicine is an Art, not a Science.

Hugs sweetie.
