Famous Amos we call him - mostly because his reputation seems to be known far and wide. Perhaps it is because he has worked so hard at living this reputation down that he has been here since 1996! He was adopted recently and returned when his new guardian decided that she was not able to set the boundaries for Amos that he needed to be successful in a home. Boundaries are important when you are 22 lbs and considered to be the size of a small mini-panther. Amos gives you clear signals that tell you when he has had enough human attention and if you choose to ignore them, he will remind you of the importance of paying closer attention next time. Did we tell you this funny fellow loves the shower? He is an absolute water baby! He will contentedly play with a dripping faucet for hours, and thinks that jumping in the shower with you should be a daily ritual! He loves to curl up with you at night for a good snuggle and will stand up on his hind legs to give you a "hug" if you are really special! We are truly hoping that Famous Amos does not have to live out his remaining years at our shelter or in sanctuary - but are sure that there is a loving forever family out there who is willing to give this big boy the space he needs to just be a cat.
